CAS at the International School of Geneva

Each Campus has its own CAS coordinator who is responsible for each CAS programme. The CAS Coordinators communicate opportunities for activities and discuss suitability of activities within and beyond the school community. These programmes vary slightly in the administration, dates and events offered.

The IBO CAS focus has moved away from counting hours, towards encouraging students to plan and reflect on their actions through CAS.
Students are required to carry out interviews and reflection throughout the IB programme.
Students must collect and present evidence for attaining each of eight Learning Outcomes set out by the IBO:

1. Increased their awareness of their own strengths.

2. Undertaken new challenges.

3. Planned and Initiated Activities.

4. Worked collaboratively with others.

5. Shown perseverance and commitment in their activities.

6. Engaged with issues of global importance.                                                                                                  

7. Considered the ethical implications of their actions.

8. Developed new skills
