Year 13 Effort Grades

Dear All,

A quick reminder that CAS effort grades are due in iSAMS Feb 6th. Progress markers have now been reset

Please RED FLAG students on MB who are not meeting expectations so I can chase them up and offer them an after school workshop on a Friday.

Year 13

Students should only meet expectations if they have completed a

• minimum of 8 experiences 

• All experiences should have evidence, 

• 3 long term experiences (1 from each CAS strand) plus CAS project should have 2 written reflections (if completed)

• all the necessary paperwork for their CAS projects (CAS 5 stages form uploaded, 2 written reflections if completed plus evidence). 

• There needs to be (at least) one ongoing experience until March

Thanks to those of you who have entered effort grades into iSAMS already. My 

apologies that I forgot to remind you. Please red flag students on MB who are not meeting the requirements (below) so I can chase them up and write home.

Year 13

Students will be meeting requirements if they:

- have 8-9 experiences logged (from each of the CAS strands) 

- one from each strand is at least a month long (each with written reflection and evidence uploaded) https://cas.ecolint.ch/reflections/reflection-on-role-and-los 

- their CAS project is completed (CAS 5 stages form uploaded, min 2 written reflections, evidence) 

- they have 2 interviews logged

- they have a min of 2 supervisor reviews (plus one for their project)

- have one experience from each strand lasting at least a month (each with written reflection and evidence uploaded) https://cas.ecolint.ch/reflections/reflection-on-role-and-los

- have their CAS project completed (CAS 5 stages form uploaded, min 2 written reflections) https://cas.ecolint.ch/reflections/how-to-improve-cas-reflections
